Obituary of Frank Joseph Ragone

Frank was a proud US Army Air Corp Veteran, serving as a bombardier, navigator and meteorologist on the B24 bomber during WWII.  Frank was very athletic and played football at Camden High School, where he starred on the famous 1941 State Championship team.  After graduating, he went on to receive his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, working for Jerrold Electronics, General Instruments and then Comcast Cable.  Frank was a Cable TV pioneer, having patented the first TV cable box and acquired two more patents over his career.

Frank was a very patient and remarkable man who was greatly admired by his family, friends and colleagues.

Frank enjoyed golfing especially with his wife Ann, reading about history and making his famous frozen strawberry margaritas. He was a regular fixture on Thursday nights for  “clam night” at DiOrio’s.
