Services for Honoring those who Served

You have many choices in remembering and celebrating the life of your loved one. In order to assist you, we offer packaged services that will help to make your selection easier. Our packages leave room to include special items or people that will help to personalize the funeral.

Our veterans burial program exceeds industry standards to provide the level of dignity and care your family expects and deserves.

Armed Services Tributes

This special tribute is our commitment to recognize the sacrifice and contributions of our nation's veterans and active duty personnel. The following services are available with the purchase of one of our burial or cremation programs.

1. An authentic Presidential Certificate signed by the President of the United States.
2. The appropriate armed services emblem custom embroidered on the casket blanket or overlay.
3. An American flag emblem custom embroidered in the casket cap panel.
4. Cemetary headstone in granite, marble or bronze supplied by the VA.
5. A request will be made, on your behalf, to the appropriate branch of the services for Military Funeral Honors - provided by the United States Government.
6. The military requires approximately 48 hours notice as well as a copy of discharge certificate (DD-214). Once this is received a team will be assigned to provide Military Funeral Honors, including flag folding, flag presentation, and Taps. The composition of the team will be as follows for:
   • Honorably Discharged Veterans: 2-3 person team to fold, present the flag, and play Taps.
   • Retired Military: 10 person team, pallbearers, firing party to serve dual function.
   • Active Duty Member: 20 person team to provide full military honors including Color Guard.

* All New Jersey veterans, their spouses and dependent children, are entitled to be buried at New Jersey's only state-operated veterans' cemetary - Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Arneytown, NJ. If you opt for burial in Arneytown, please ask us about the details and how it may alter the funeral package price.

 

Veterans Burial Program

• Basic services of funeral director and staff.
• Placement of obituary notice (newspaper charges will apply).
• Embalming.
• Dressing, casketing and cosmetizing.
• Local transfer of deceased from place of death to our funeral home.
• One half-day visitation (two hours) at our funeral home.
• One hour funeral service at our funeral home and then to church the following day.
• Hearse for transfer of deceased by funeral director to church and/or cemetary (local).
• Graveside service (local).
• Memorial package (100 prayer cards + 25 laminated, 50 acknowledgement cards, register book (premium), rosary beads or prayer book, interior crucifix/cross, 100 bookmarks + 25 laminated).
• NJ state permit and filing fees.

Veterans Cremation Program

Our cremation programs include the following services:

• Basic services of funeral director and staff.
• Placement of obituary notice (newspaper charges will apply).
• Embalming.
• Dressing, casketing and cosmetizing.
• Local transfer of deceased from place of death to our funeral home.
• One half-day visitation (two hours) at our funeral home.
• One hour funeral service at our funeral home and then to church the following day.
• Hearse for transfer of deceased to church and/or crematory (local).
• Accompaniment of remains to crematory by funeral director.
• Memorial package (100 prayer cards + 25 laminated, 50 acknowledgement cards, register book (premium), rosary beads or prayer book, interior crucifix/cross, 100 bookmarks + 25 laminated).
• Crematory charge.
• NJ state permit and filing fees.
